Been some time since I last updated...
I've been through lots of hellish training that's made me.. Have selective amnesia. I purposely forget the extremely torturous parts of training, and gain happiness by just remembering the better training sessions.
I've also forgotten lots of theory and practical stuff about IT security.
Now I want to post up a little something that I want to share with anyone who's reading, and as a reminder for myself in case I ever need it in the future.
1) I want to sign on as a Military Police, because I love security. I love ensuring that there is order and peace. I believe that the duty of a policeman is extremely important.
2) I want to sign on as a Military Police, because I believe that it's a stable job, and that I can start earning money early in my life.
3) I want to sign on as a Military Police, because I also want the perks that come with signing on.
4) I want to sign on as a Military Police, because it's a slightly bold step towards something new, but familiar. Something absolutely new and crazy is every human needs to survive.
Heh...
Well, Live range coming up on the 17th of August, hoping to get Best Shot so I can invite more people to my Passing out Parade, plus the prestige of being awarded the Best Shot award.
After that is the Field camp.. 6 days and 5 nights without contact with the outside world. Damn.
Then, the SIT test, which determines whether I can get into SCS (Specialist Cadet School) or not.
I hope and pray that I can excel and enjoy in these events. :D

A small update on what I've been doing in the army nowadays.
1) Plenty of sweeping the floor.
2) Plenty of running.
3) Plenty of weight training.
4) Eating.
5) Trying to survive the mental struggle.
6) Trying to survive the physical struggle.
I mentioned in the post below that I don't think much in camp. That's true, but I have to use my mind to keep forcing myself to move my aching limbs, to draw in another breath, to stop myself from collapsing on the floor and dying.
It's tough, very tough. But deep down inside, I love it. I hate the parts where I have to run up and down 5 levels just to change clothes, punishments and lack of free time, and that's almost about it. The training has made me a stronger person. But I still have a long way to go before I can pass my stupid fitness test.
Recently, I've loaded up my songlists with plenty of songs sang by Olivia Ong.
Below is a sample!
Close your eyes, take deep breaths, calm your soul and body down. And listen; let the peace flow within your veins and body.
Peace is what I need again. A full day of nothing but meditation, jazz, bossa nova and no rushing around.
I miss peace :(

They say that when you enlist and enter the army, your IQ and intelligence drops.
I can say that that's true.
See, the thing is that you have NO time to think, no puzzles to solve, nothing that makes you want to tear your hair out and go "Damn it how do I solve this problem? Lets check online and see who can help!"
Nothing like that.
I miss thinking, I miss solving programming problems, I miss puzzles! I can't wait to get out of the hell hole overseas, and stay in Singapore forever. I can't wait to start doing real things, like investigating why someone did this, and digging deep into the mysteries.
I can't wait to get the hell out of that place permanently.
