Finally it's the start of block leave.

Significant events that's happened:

1) I fell over a fence whilst attempting to climb over it. Just a waist high fence, so I didn't break a knee, but I did lose some flesh.

2) Had to skip close combat classes due to my wound.

Life is smooth sailing and peaceful, which is good. I'm never going to complain that it's boring, because there's just so many things to do :D, regardless of how trivial they are!

Sunday, 28 November 2010

Been a comfortable week, plenty of close combat training and plenty of rest in bunk, and it'll only continue on till the end of the year.

My main worry now is of course the live range, where I can only hope I remember the procedures and stop my hands from shivering.

Nothing much to say :D, just that this darn song has been going through my head for the whole week LOL

Have a great time! :D

Saturday, 6 November 2010

I need this to end, I need this stupid course to end, it's not fun, it's not exciting, it's risking my life and health, and I could have spent time better somewhere else, with a textbook or anything filled with information that I can use.

But I can't escape, so all I can do is go with the flow.

I've done a few crazy things that I never, ever thought I'd do in my whole life.

1) Tower rappelling and rappelling off a tower.

2) Rappelling off a helicopter.

3) Standing under a helicopter attempting to stand still under the downwash.

4) Walk so far in such a short time with a heavy load (56 mins, 6 km, 20+kg)

Rappelling off the tower (walking and bouncing off) was a painful, and balls shrinking experience. I mean, looking down 5 stories, thinking that falling down means death...

That's what happened to me for all the jumps. Not that I panicked, but these guys just kept yelling at all of us. It did make us braver, but it also made us more annoyed.

Nothing much interesting going on in camp anyway, just lots of walking, running, exercising, moving to and fro.. Heh.

Well at least my bunkmates are all great men (along with one underaged fool of a buddy xD)

Nothing else to blog about, so I'll head on to update codememoar :D

Sunday, 10 October 2010

Now, one last final post before I head to sleep.

I have a few... Choices for my future that I wish to layout in my blog, so that I can review them next time when I have the time.

Path 1:

Get Silver/Gold, sign on as Military Police, aim for Early Degree Sponsorship, or CLASS Degree sponsorship. Serve bond, get bonus, continue and retire at 55.

Path 2:

Get Silver/Gold, sign on as Military Police, aim for Early Degree Sponsorship, or CLASS Degree sponsorship. Serve bond, get bonus, resign and sign on as a Senior Police Officer.

Path 3:

Get Silver/Gold, ORD, sign on as a Voluntary Special Constable while studying Degree, get experience as a Junior Police Officer, get Degree, sign on as a Senior Police Officer.

Path 4:

Get Silver/Gold, ORD, study Degree and various certificates, then apply to various commercial security firms.

There are more paths of course, but these are what I believe will be the more successful of paths.
Now I was told by Kelvin before, that I just might not be meant for signing on, because God is making me fail my IPPT.

I counter his argument, by telling this story.

Back in my Secondary school days, I was a miserable failure. Depressed, bad at studies, rebellious.

My grades were F9 for almost everything except English and Science.

Now, my turning point was only at the beginning of Secondary 4. I prayed daily, focused as hard as I could during lessons, did my work, didn't play games at all, and just.. Worked hard for my goal, 18 points to enter the diploma course of Cyber & Digital Security.

Turns out, my O Level score was 18 points exactly, with an extra 2 points to take off due to my stint in NCC.

This, this is solid proof that God tests me. He places the bag of gold in front, and throws obstacles in every single step of the way. But with prayer and hard-work combined, each obstacle is obliterated.

I have to get into the momentum again of hard work and prayer (which is what I did during my BMT, I merely have to continue and put in more effort for my physical activities).

As it stands now, my most recent performance for my IPPT was...

12 mins for 2.4km run,
210cm for SBJ,
41 sit-ups,
2 pull-ups,
10.7 seconds for shuttle sprint.

I have to maintain and of course, improve to a Silver, hopefully by Chinese New Year next year.

Saturday, 9 October 2010

Well it's the end of my 1 week break after my PoP!

It was a tough and grueling route march.... Not really. It wasn't mentally or physically tiring; more pain than anything.

See, when you walk for too long, your feet starts having these sharp stabbing pains that just won't go away until 2-3 days later. This is what afflicted me during my route march. Believe me, it was a mental strain to push myself forward not because I was exhausted, but because of the pain in my feet.

I participated in the parade, which was glorious. Imagine 3000 recruits; smelly, tired out recruits, all standing still, with the backdrop of the Singapore offices. Glorious for me at least.

And now, my posting is to be a Light Strike Trooper, which means I'll be driving a Light Strike Vehicle, under the Guards unit.

Taken from http://dancruz.blogspot.com/2007/06/light-strike-vehicle-lsv.html

I can only hope I don't crash into buildings or anything. I have also heard that I have to partake in the Guards Conversion Course, in which I will be tortured physically and mentally. It will not be pleasant at all, and I will blog as much as possible about it if I'm selected for the course.

Well my feelings for booking in again are this:

1) Scared
2) Miss home
3) Miss Pompipi

But I know this will toughen me up. A lot. It will probably be my stepping stone to getting Silver for my IPPT, and from there, my future will begin...

1 more week to PoP!

It's been a long, tough time.

I've seen assholes (no not the body part), I've seen great people, I've seen future "sign-on" personnel... I've seen lots of things.

It's been a great, really fun, exhausting and exhilarating experience; one that I will never forget, and one that I will keep in my heart for the rest of my life.

It's made me value my friends and family even more.

It's made me value how amazing the food from coffee shops taste like.

I cannot wait to pass out from Tekong, it's been too long xD

Field Camp

Back from field camp exhausted, scarred, pimples and rashes all over, but it's over at least :D

Day 1:

8KM route march all the way under the burning sun. It was hard as hell, and I almost fell out at the end but I stumbled my way through. Once we reached our end point, we sat down and threw everything off.

We were then told we had to move to another location 2KM away.

What. The. Hell.

We shouldered our burdens again (field pack full to the brim about 25kg along with 5kg rifle) and stumbled off to the new camp site.

We reached, threw our stuff down, then pitched our Basha tents. We then sat down to try rations for the first time ever. I clearly remember my first ration was Water Chestnut and Chicken Dumpling. Fucking, fucking disgusting piece of shit ever.

We then attended lessons on jungle warfare, practiced what we learnt and finally got to rest in our tents. I had fever by the end of the lessons.

Day 2:

We were woken up by the Sergeants, called out and punished for being late, then made to go for a run. Of course, the sergeants being stupid as they are, decided to run on a tiny track full of sudden slopes, holes in the ground, stones, rocks, jutting rocks and of course, people were injured.

We were then sent for breakfast consisting of biscuits and water, before being sent off for more punishments, lessons on jungle warfare and revision.

After that, it was time to dig the dreaded shell scrape. I kept getting giddy and weak spells due to fever, but I persevered (I still couldn't finish digging in a few hours though). At night, everyone except a few people went for a night walk, but I fell out due to fever. We then headed back to our tents to sleep.

I still had fever.

Day 3:

I was doing my sentry duty at night, and my shift was ending, when close to 10 commanders suddenly appeared and walked towards us. We exchanged passwords, and I turned away, since commanders were the "good guys". Turns out I was wrong.

Within 2 minutes, the commanders spread out in a line, took cover, then started throwing Thunderflash (think of weaker versions of Flashbangs from CounterStrike) and fire blank rounds at us. We were then yelled at, scolded, insulted, punished, made to do ridiculous stuff, but I fell out due to fever, and because it was just pointless to continue getting punished for no reason.

We then had breakfast, suited up and prepared for our test. Overall my team and I did slightly below average but we did scrape through.

I then finished my shell scrape with the help of my bunkmates, and we then proceeded to sleep in it. Believe me, shell scrapes stink of shit, and this was my second night in it. It sucked.

I still had fever.

Day 4:

Woke up, got into "stand to" position, which is basically a pointless "point your gun forward and wait till light from the sun comes out" position.

Ate breakfast, dismantled the basha tent, packed our bags, threw it on the tonner, filled up the shell scrape hole then off we went on another 8km route march.

We reached the point after a hell of a long time, then people started fainting because the sergeants were dragging the lunch time, and punishing us under the heat.

We then pitched our tents again, rested, then off we went for lessons on urban fighting.

We practiced, then back to camp for rest.

The officers then told us that we'll be called out at night, get mock punishments then we'd spring a surprise on the highest officer in our camp (because it was his birthday).

At like 10pm, we were called out, yelled at in push up position till the highest officer camp. We stood up then sang the birthday song for him, while one of the sergeants dumped a bucket of water on him LOL! After the officer's speech, we all went back to sleep.

I still had fever.

Day 5:

We woke up, got briefed on our events to come, and ate breakfast, then off we went for our events.

First up was paintball. We were given 10 shots, and 2 minutes to fire and capture 3 flags. Retarded and waste of time.

Next up was urban fighting test, which was very fun and exciting xD. Mainly because you don't know where and what will be behind the next corner!

We finally packed whatever we did, sat down and wasted time, then went back to company line to clean our rifles till 1am zz

Best part of the day was chit chatting with my bunkmates and officer after a good shower, with good food in our hands till like 2.30am heh.. Good times.

And that's my story :D

Going for field camp! Field hell!

TTWS please please please take care orh!

Sunday, 15 August 2010

Been some time since I last updated...

I've been through lots of hellish training that's made me.. Have selective amnesia. I purposely forget the extremely torturous parts of training, and gain happiness by just remembering the better training sessions.

I've also forgotten lots of theory and practical stuff about IT security.

Now I want to post up a little something that I want to share with anyone who's reading, and as a reminder for myself in case I ever need it in the future.

1) I want to sign on as a Military Police, because I love security. I love ensuring that there is order and peace. I believe that the duty of a policeman is extremely important.

2) I want to sign on as a Military Police, because I believe that it's a stable job, and that I can start earning money early in my life.

3) I want to sign on as a Military Police, because I also want the perks that come with signing on.

4) I want to sign on as a Military Police, because it's a slightly bold step towards something new, but familiar. Something absolutely new and crazy is every human needs to survive.

Heh...

Well, Live range coming up on the 17th of August, hoping to get Best Shot so I can invite more people to my Passing out Parade, plus the prestige of being awarded the Best Shot award.

After that is the Field camp.. 6 days and 5 nights without contact with the outside world. Damn.

Then, the SIT test, which determines whether I can get into SCS (Specialist Cadet School) or not.

I hope and pray that I can excel and enjoy in these events. :D

A small update on what I've been doing in the army nowadays.

1) Plenty of sweeping the floor.
2) Plenty of running.
3) Plenty of weight training.
4) Eating.
5) Trying to survive the mental struggle.
6) Trying to survive the physical struggle.

I mentioned in the post below that I don't think much in camp. That's true, but I have to use my mind to keep forcing myself to move my aching limbs, to draw in another breath, to stop myself from collapsing on the floor and dying.

It's tough, very tough. But deep down inside, I love it. I hate the parts where I have to run up and down 5 levels just to change clothes, punishments and lack of free time, and that's almost about it. The training has made me a stronger person. But I still have a long way to go before I can pass my stupid fitness test.

Recently, I've loaded up my songlists with plenty of songs sang by Olivia Ong.

Below is a sample!

Close your eyes, take deep breaths, calm your soul and body down. And listen; let the peace flow within your veins and body.

Peace is what I need again. A full day of nothing but meditation, jazz, bossa nova and no rushing around.

I miss peace :(
They say that when you enlist and enter the army, your IQ and intelligence drops.

I can say that that's true.

See, the thing is that you have NO time to think, no puzzles to solve, nothing that makes you want to tear your hair out and go "Damn it how do I solve this problem? Lets check online and see who can help!"

Nothing like that.

I miss thinking, I miss solving programming problems, I miss puzzles! I can't wait to get out of the hell hole overseas, and stay in Singapore forever. I can't wait to start doing real things, like investigating why someone did this, and digging deep into the mysteries.

I can't wait to get the hell out of that place permanently.

Sunday, 27 June 2010

I'll be out soon! Most probably on Saturday morning then can book out eh, so must mentally prepare!

Try not to think too much! Just focus on your work, and focus on your relaxation, and outings with Fish&Kohjiaen, RX, and call Rachel Leying and Candice out!!

:D:D:D:D

I shalt bestow many bites upon your arm when I come out :D

Friday, 25 June 2010

Three of my favourite songs from this game! Close your eyes while listening to them, and imagine yourself being surrounded by huge, ancient and beautiful structures.

Thursday, 24 June 2010

2nd day out of camp now, and I feel like it's so close to booking in again.

It's been mentally and physically tough these 17 days.

Plenty of running, jogging, pull ups and exercises but yea, I definitely feel stronger and fitter, but dumber.

I haven't been able to recall anything apart from the first and last day.

First day was tough as hell because I had to lug around my civilian bag as well as all of my army stuff (about 40kg in total) around the whole camp.

Last day was unreal and full of worry, because I kept feeling that halfway we're just gonna get screwed over and maybe the boat will turn around halfway and bring us back to tekong or something. Bullshit worries that didn't came true :P

Well now I'm home again I'm taking all the time I can to rest and recuperate, because the following weeks will be tougher.

I can only pray to God for protection and help.

Monday, 7 June 2010

Piggytay worry not, my phone will be on ASAP, and I will SMS immediately whenever I can ok?

Bury yourself in work and studies, while I bury myself in exercise! That way we'll both be progressing in life together, but at a distance!

Don't cry at night, instead, give your turdle a bite and fall asleep knowing that I'm thinking about you!

Two weeks very fast one, soon you'll "eh so fast ah cheyyyy"!

Love you piggytay :D

Wednesday, 19 May 2010

Lets put things into perspective here.

1) "Friends over family in certain circumstances"

- Your "friends" in question will not acknowledge your existence in a few years

- Your family will be there, even if they're bitching at you, you know they're there.

- Your "family" (me) has been waiting for this chance to celebrate together.

- Your "family" has been asking and begging and asking. Your friends? "Want come?" once.

- This is my prediction of what the future holds, you will be placing friends over me because "you only get to dine with them once".

2) "This is my only chance to dine with my friends"

- If they were "your friends", you'd be talking to them more often.

- If they were "your friends", you'd have plenty chances to dine with them in the future.

3) "I like my friends alot"

- Your friends are not going to acknowledge you in a few years. Hell even knows if you'll meet them again.

- You can choose to like "your family", or "your friends" more. Up to you.

4) Treating me like a dog

- I ALWAYS cut my sleep just so I can spend more time with you. Always.

- If you think I still don't deserve anything, alrighty then.

- If you still think that spending more time with "your friends" is more important than spending whatever last moments we have before I enter the fucking army/police, alright.

If you still insist you must dine with your friends and deny any single explanation I give to you, fine.

Let me give an example.

"I wanna dine with my friends (a whole fucking group of pretty, beautiful models who are very friendly and I liked one of them before), but I'm going just because my two best fwens (say Sham and Sheng Qiang) are going. Oh and I like my friends very much too."

Really. Read, re-read, and re-read again. If you still insist that I am merely bitching and being sad for nothing, I'll have nothing to say except this.

You can go find another guy who barks when you say bark, cut sleep when you insist on meeting early and goes away quietly with a smile when you insist your group of male friends are more important.

5 minutes of walking, 5 minutes of jogging,

11 floors I ran up, 11th floor to 1st floor elevator ride,

11 floors I ran up again, 11th floor to 1st floor elevator ride,

5 minutes of walking to control my vomit that was about to come out,

15 minutes of jogging.

And that's all for the night!

Memory:

I recall my most embarrasing moment of my P6 life ever, receiving PSLE results. I was early, like 30 mins early, and I waited at the damned school gate with no idea where the bloody ceremony was held. Finally after an hour of waiting, my form teacher saw me and brought me there. Absolute FAIL.

I recall receiving my results from someone, and I didn't understand what my results were. 197 points. Or was it 196? I can never remember properly. After that, I ran to one corner, saw my most feared female uh.. Enemy or friend is both the wrong word. She was grinning insanely at me. I was scared. Hm :/

I recall my worst moment of my P6 life. Chinese PSLE exam. Shittiest paper ever. Not only that, I had to do it in a freezing cold air con room, with my shit, literally my shit, at the tip of my arse. I was struggling so hard to keep it in, and that bastard of a teacher refused to let me use the toilet. The bell rang, and I just left my bag in class and sprinted to the toilet to explode.

I remember I used to daydream about exploring the school, about which locations could hide me best, which classrooms were frequently vacant, which angle and floor would have the best view to spot hiding people. Unfortunately I never had the time to fully explore the school. I was a stalker from young. Damn :/
HAHA THIS BLOG IS SO DSFSDFSG

Memory:

I remember walking in a mall once, with orange lights, cold air con, a grand feeling, an absolutely new place that I walked around in with my mouth open because of it's grandiose design. Unfortunately I could never remember where it was.

I remember puking in a.. restaurant immediately after I replied my father's fateful question.

"Are you ok?"
"Yeah"
*barf*

I remember sitting in the car, driving up to a jetty. I was very, very surprised that we drove on to a huge ship, which transported my family to.. Somewhere. Desaru? I was also surprised by the cereal I ordered, because I had always eaten cereal from ceramic bowls, but this was the first time I ate from a styrofoam bowl.

I remember running around a field in Sentosa near the old hotel, with large.. Shelters built, with a huge buffet spread. Unfortunately, I was young and foolish, so I only dared take chicken.

I remember making retarded faces to the two fellows sitting beside me in Primary 6, then turning around and getting greeted with another retarded face by someone else. LOL.

Enough memories for tonight, I'll get to sleep.
A little song that I love listening to while relaxing.

My younger days... One word: Unfettered.

The peace I always felt when I was young, I loved that feeling. It always came especially during a car ride, where everyone in the family was quiet, the sun was setting, and the world just seemed magical.

I have to admit, I was born with a silver spoon. I got what I wanted, but when I demanded, I got the cane instead.

And now that I'm standing on the edge of my life... I was filled with a strange feeling, that if I could provide this sense of security and love for my children and wife, I would slog as hard as possible, undergo whatever stress I need to, just to see my family smile, just to ensure that the future is paved with gold for my offspring.

But you know, there's always the feeling of "no man I don't want to step out of my shell now, I'm so comfortable here, why can't I just stay in here another week?"

I know I can't. That's why I signed up for the Police Force. Really, joining the police brings untold dangers to my life that I must face. A physical stab in the back, a bullet wound, a bomb...

But if I'm accepted into the force, I know for sure if I survive the 5 year bond, I'll be a grown man. I'll have.. Taken the next step in life.

Thursday, 29 April 2010

Just sent my resume in for application to Police Force.. Hope I get in, it's a career I feel I can apply my skills in.

Plus I get to learn defensive skills. And I get to walk around with guns! Now my First Person Shooter games come true.

Oh and I get enlisted in 7th June to BMTC school 4, Tekong! :/

:/

Woo hoo!

Went jogging 2 days ago, I managed to push myself past my barriers, and hit 32 minutes before I finally gave up!

Yesssssssssssssssssssssss I was grinning and laughing to myself while breaking the 30 minute mark! XD

Glad no one was around to see how retarded I looked xD

Yay wound is healing perfectly fine, stupid door.

Oh I got a new door too! Now I don't need to walk out sideways like a bloody crab each time I wanna step out of the house.

May this picture below serve as a reminder, that I'm oversensitive to pain, and put more effort into ensuring I don't injure myself retarded-ly next time.

Monday, 12 April 2010

FUCKING door slammed my third finger, and now I can't use it thanks to the fucking door tearing out a piece of my flesh fuckity fuck.

Thanks to the "dude looking down at me from above", it's healing without incident. Now I realize how important a single finger is zzz

Night before entering Cyberdome again.

Really, I still have no idea why the name strikes fear into me. I hate the place but like it, like an old abandoned comfortable home where I was tortured.

Perhaps it's just the customers, perhaps it's the idea of 12 hours talking to customers without any help, perhaps I just hate the place somehow.

Or maybe it's just my main excuse, the idea of handling 20 people attempting to pay for their usage at one go, while 5 other people's computers are spoilt, and another 5people are waiting for me to get for them drinks. Pressurizing.

I just have to keep reminding myself, I'm doing this for the sake of saving for my future home, for my own personal pleasure (games), and for piggytay's birthday presents.

Mustmustmustmustmustmust endure boy, it's only 2-3 months! And only 1 single day per week of mental torture!

Cyberdome, stressoutdome, here I come

Thursday, 1 April 2010

One of my worst experiences of a hospital. Ever.

Long story short, I had gastric problems; visited a doctor.

Doctor suspects I have problems with either the kidney, liver or gall bladder. I might have to get operated on one of those parts.

Doctor sends me to CGH's A&E department with a letter.

I enter checkup room, and get pierced in my right arm.

Which failed to draw blood, because apparantly, my vein "bursted". Blood all over the place.

Doctor pierces my left knuckle area now

Success! Doctor inserts IV needle, which draws a constant stream of blood. 4 tubes of blood goes. Doctor injects painkillers into my bloodstream directly.

I then leave the room in pain still, take a piss, step out of the toilet and get called by the nurse to pee into a bottle =)

I drip a few leftover drops of pee, passes it to the nurse, who claims it should be enough, but hooks me up to an IV bag.

I sit and shiver in pain for 2 hours, until the doctor appears and tells me that I only suffered from infection in the urinary tract.

I leave the hospital, with those plasters on my hand.

Fucking hospital.

Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease take away this pain, I've suffered more than enough pain for the rest of my life grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrradasdasdasd

Gastric problems again, super sharp pains on and off, throw in scar pain and I feel like killing myself everytime the pain comes back zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The price I have to pay for my siblings' sins.

Sigh.

I fully understand why my brother said he was so excited to go army, even if there was physical torture. It's far better than the mental torture I have to undergo at home.

Maybe I should go find a job :/
Just something a little random to freshen up the blog!

I've achieved something! Omg!

See, last time, I could only jog 3-5 minutes, no more, slow jog. SLOW. Jog.

Then I gradually improved and could jog for 10 minutes!

Now I can jog for 20 mins!

It's really something amazing, it feels.. very refreshing. It makes me more determined to lose weight and feel more.. Determined.

Now if I can only be determined about studying Security+ >_>"""

An analogy of growing up...

It's like... Lyra Belacqua, from The Golden Compass storybook, forcefully abandoning herself from her daemon (soul) while having to enter the Underworld.

It is necessary, it is painful, and it is most definitely heart-wrenching. You don't want to do it at all, because it's alien.

But once the teeth-gritting process is over, you either become an empty shell, to join your fellow compatriots as a machine; or you become a much better person, with more flexibility and knowledge.

With these grim words, I encourage you to listen to the song. It features a Metal/Rock band performing a very soft Rock song, with deep lyrical meaning and a nice, soothing tune to go with it.

2 amazing things happened today.

1) Met jer on the train! Same carriage, same door! XD

2) Reed stood at the FEMALE toilet door and almost entered for 4 seconds while me jer and daniel was staring at him XD

Brand new post, perhaps my first with pictures?

Ever seen a Lion Dance lion thingy climb up a wall? xD

This is probably the most expensive Nasi Padang you'll ever find, but it's just so good!

This is a pic of what I ordered (I was order number 3 in the receipt).
It consists of..

- A truckload of rice,
- Chicken breast (large, seriously),
- 2 tiny pieces of Beef Rendang
- Bagadale? burgerdale? burrerdale? You know what I mean!

Expensive expensive but the chicken is so tender, the beef rendang melts in your mouth and the curry is just so good.

-

"Knowing you're close to the end is a kind of freedom. Good time to take... inventory."

You know you are growing soft and old when you... Want to become young again.

Really, I would love to relieve the past again, even if my memories are replayed from a machine.

Cringing at stupid mistakes, sighing at old regrets, laughing at retarded moments in my life, it'd make me a better person, it might help me focus more on life. It might make me more cheerful, knowing that I have faced down what I hate and fear - errors of my yesteryears.

Entering adulthood has been painful for me. I've been scarred, physically and mentally, but these lesions are important; crucial for survival, and I have to live with them till the end of my life, bearing pain and knowledge, and passing it on to whomever listens when I leave the world, with hope that my predecessor will not have to undergo the harsh pain I've endured over my short span of life.

The feeling of wanting independence, of wanting to break out of my family's "wool", of wanting to start earning my money, and saving up for huge events in my future; these.. Feelings, are what drives me. With vigor in my heart and my goals in sight, I will endure.

"The healthy human mind doesn't wake up in the morning thinking this is it's last day on earth."

Like I mentioned to my godfather, I am mentally prepared to enter NS. I will lock feelings and thoughts aside, and focus instead on learning, enjoying and enduring NS.

Despite what dear people have said to me:
"NS is fucking tough lah, I hate it, you go in sure die one lah",
"Aiya so young already get GF, sure breakup in NS one lah haiz you"

My mind won't wake up every morning dreading NS because of those comments. I will embrace whatever experience the next day brings; endure and enjoy.

"Because out of all our vast array of nightmares this is the one we choose for ourselves."

You have to remember, that in every single day of your life, every second; it belongs to you. It isn't shared, regardless of how you feel and think. And I can only hope you, will realize this, and start acting for your progression in life.

Think about, plan for, mitigate and explain to whatever drags you down, even if love is in the way.

Do not fear, because you are doing what is good for you, and for your love. You have to keep bearing this in mind, regardless of what the other party thinks.

I wish I had the determination again to study Security+ and CCNA :/ lawlawlawlawl

Fourth (Final) day in Genting

Final post regarding my trip in Genting!

I woke up to the sounds of crooning musicians at 7am, singing their blue tunes in my ear. The lyrics consisted of

"ZzzZzzzZzZZzzZZSNORTSNOREEZZzZzZZzZZZzZz"

That was just the chorus :D

I then fell asleep again.

The next time I woke up, it was much more peaceful :P

Me and the piggytay decided not to eat the buffet breakfats.. Breakfast again, so we joined my parents at some Hainan restaurant!

And this is what I ate (for breakfast)

Just the fried rice, nothing else... Well except the extra Hainan Chicken Chop and.. Various other things.

We then ate ice cream, packed up the rest of our stuff and tada, pictures!

Then out of Genting we go!

It was foggy as hell, and my eyes were O_O all the time till we got out of the fog.

I felt a little heart pain since the food was plentiful, but yeah I was glad to get out.

That's what I thought.

5 minutes into the ride, I was car-sick.

Thankfully, I was drugged and fell asleep, and woke up feeling like a million bucks.

And well, that's about it!

Summary of meals:
1) Fried rice & chicken chop
2) A few bites of Turkey Croissant
3) Forgot :/

Third day of Genting

Long needed post here...

It started off with lack of sleep again thanks to.. ZZZZzzzZZZzzZZzZZZzzz sounds ;D

Me and piggytay then washed up as silently as possible (so we don't disturb my parents), and waltzed out of the room to the dining area!

It's a small place, looks like your average restaurant, and the buffet was small, but adequate and the scrambled eggs (cooked by your live chef) were alright.

An interesting point to note that you'll never see in Singapore, is that the fog was amazing. Breakfast + Cold Wind + Fog outside makes a very.. Unique breakfast I must say.

Next, I went to sleep. Without the sounds of ZzzZZzZZzzZzzzzzSNORTZZzzZZ in my ear :D

Then I woke up, and me and piggytay went to feast on a lunch consisting of half a chicken, with fried rice at Kenny Rogers with my parents!

It sucked anyway.

Now this is where the excitement of Genting comes in.

After that crappy lunch, me and piggytay walked around the hidden corners of the shopping mall and here are some retarded sights!

We then found a shooting range! It was a virtual shooting range though, no live rounds.

A picture of my score! :D

After that exciting round of firing the M16 (my favourite activity when I was in NCC), I persuaded the piggytay into walking into the Ripley's Believe it or Not Exhibition!

More pictures are available at my facebook account!

Although I DO believe THIS must be added to the Ripley's Exhibition.

I took this picture of a car in Singapore btw...

(I cannot help but wonder how the HELL the driver drives with all those Pikachus!)

The rest of the day was spent watching Yesman!, Prisoner of Azkhaban and having a crappy dinner (the hotplate tofu was PINK. You read it, PINK).

Then, to bed I go... Before the ZzzZZzZzZZzzzZzz begins :D

Summary of meals:

1) Breakfast buffet
2) Kenny Rogers meal
3) Coffee Bean's Double Chocolate (with coffee)
4) Sucky dinner
5) Famous amos cookies!

Second day of Genting!

To continue,

I woke up after a fitful sleep (didn't sleep well at all), and washed up, took a picture..

Yes, we're surroundeded by mountains.

Then went to Marry Brown for their fast-food Nasi Lemak! Pity I didn't take pictures. But suffice to say, it was.. Standard, nothing special.

Not much to expect from a fast food restaurant anyway.

I then went on to play L4D2 with piggytay! It cost me 30 Ringgit per hour, a total of $60 ringgit wasted. For those who don't know how much it cost in Singapore Dollars, it's $12.50 per HOUR. And the comps sucked anyway, could barely even run L4D2 at the pace of a snail.

After that, (it was around 10.30am), we checked into our new room located at the top of the hotel. World clubhouse? Club worldhouse? Something like that, but it contained 2 queen size beds, one of which held my parents, the other, piggytay and me.

We then rested a while, and went to Coffee Bean! Had the Ultimate Coffee based drink and it ultimately sucked.

Me being the pig I am, went to da pao pizza from pizza hut immediately after coffee bean! XD

This is where my evening went downhill.

Me and piggytay went back to the room to rest and munch on pizza and watch TV (while my parents were competing who's snores were louder), but the TV only had a horrow show called "Dark Corners" showing :(, till today, I still remember the evil demon :(

After my parents woke up, we met my parents' friends (who came the same time as us) and had a sucky dinner. Trust me, the weirdest part is that the hotplate tofu was.. Pink.

Well me and piggytay were left to our own devices, so we went back to the room (while buying 200g of famous amos cookies) and watched House!

After that, I had a supper of instant noodles, and slept... Peacefully? We'll find out next post :P.

Summary of meals I ate:

Nasi Lemak, Coffee Bean, Pizza, Weird Dinner, Cookies, Instant noodles + Chicken Leg... All in a day.

First day of Genting

Well,

It started off uneventful. Went to Genting with piggy and parents! And 2 pairs of uncles and aunts. Watched House all the way till we started going up the mountains.

That's when the excitement began.

The road was like a race track! Zig zagging all the way. Combine that with pitch black darkness, and cold wind, and you've got yourself an exhilirating ride up to Genting Highlands.

We eventually reached (safely) the top of the mountain, and faced a HUUUUUUUUGE JAM. The 9 story carpark at the hotel was full, and by full, I meant illegal parking full. Cars were squeezed at any single corner so long as it didn't block anyone.

We eventually found a carpark, and tada! GTFO OF THE CAR AND FREEZE MY ARSE TO DEATH.

We then chucked our bags in a room (one single room to fit 6 people), and went out immediately to the shopping mall!

Trust me when I say this, it's a smoking haven. Everywhere you go, you can smoke. Because there's no air con!

I did eat like a pig though, two plates of chicken rice, wanton soup and fried wantons. Forgot what else I ate, because it was such a blur due to my sleepiness!

I was grumpy, so I didn't really bother much about the countdown (we celebrated our countdown while walking around in the mall), and catched a tiny bit of fireworks. It was cold though, which was the only thing I enjoyed. The temperature at that point of time was 21.5 degrees.

Me and piggytay went back to the room to sleep first, where I couldn't sleep properly due to her snoring directly in my ear XD..

And that ends my uneventful first day at Genting.
