Third day of Genting

Long needed post here...

It started off with lack of sleep again thanks to.. ZZZZzzzZZZzzZZzZZZzzz sounds ;D

Me and piggytay then washed up as silently as possible (so we don't disturb my parents), and waltzed out of the room to the dining area!

It's a small place, looks like your average restaurant, and the buffet was small, but adequate and the scrambled eggs (cooked by your live chef) were alright.

An interesting point to note that you'll never see in Singapore, is that the fog was amazing. Breakfast + Cold Wind + Fog outside makes a very.. Unique breakfast I must say.

Next, I went to sleep. Without the sounds of ZzzZZzZZzzZzzzzzSNORTZZzzZZ in my ear :D

Then I woke up, and me and piggytay went to feast on a lunch consisting of half a chicken, with fried rice at Kenny Rogers with my parents!

It sucked anyway.

Now this is where the excitement of Genting comes in.

After that crappy lunch, me and piggytay walked around the hidden corners of the shopping mall and here are some retarded sights!

We then found a shooting range! It was a virtual shooting range though, no live rounds.

A picture of my score! :D

After that exciting round of firing the M16 (my favourite activity when I was in NCC), I persuaded the piggytay into walking into the Ripley's Believe it or Not Exhibition!

More pictures are available at my facebook account!

Although I DO believe THIS must be added to the Ripley's Exhibition.

I took this picture of a car in Singapore btw...

(I cannot help but wonder how the HELL the driver drives with all those Pikachus!)

The rest of the day was spent watching Yesman!, Prisoner of Azkhaban and having a crappy dinner (the hotplate tofu was PINK. You read it, PINK).

Then, to bed I go... Before the ZzzZZzZzZZzzzZzz begins :D

Summary of meals:

1) Breakfast buffet
2) Kenny Rogers meal
3) Coffee Bean's Double Chocolate (with coffee)
4) Sucky dinner
5) Famous amos cookies!

Second day of Genting!

To continue,

I woke up after a fitful sleep (didn't sleep well at all), and washed up, took a picture..

Yes, we're surroundeded by mountains.

Then went to Marry Brown for their fast-food Nasi Lemak! Pity I didn't take pictures. But suffice to say, it was.. Standard, nothing special.

Not much to expect from a fast food restaurant anyway.

I then went on to play L4D2 with piggytay! It cost me 30 Ringgit per hour, a total of $60 ringgit wasted. For those who don't know how much it cost in Singapore Dollars, it's $12.50 per HOUR. And the comps sucked anyway, could barely even run L4D2 at the pace of a snail.

After that, (it was around 10.30am), we checked into our new room located at the top of the hotel. World clubhouse? Club worldhouse? Something like that, but it contained 2 queen size beds, one of which held my parents, the other, piggytay and me.

We then rested a while, and went to Coffee Bean! Had the Ultimate Coffee based drink and it ultimately sucked.

Me being the pig I am, went to da pao pizza from pizza hut immediately after coffee bean! XD

This is where my evening went downhill.

Me and piggytay went back to the room to rest and munch on pizza and watch TV (while my parents were competing who's snores were louder), but the TV only had a horrow show called "Dark Corners" showing :(, till today, I still remember the evil demon :(

After my parents woke up, we met my parents' friends (who came the same time as us) and had a sucky dinner. Trust me, the weirdest part is that the hotplate tofu was.. Pink.

Well me and piggytay were left to our own devices, so we went back to the room (while buying 200g of famous amos cookies) and watched House!

After that, I had a supper of instant noodles, and slept... Peacefully? We'll find out next post :P.

Summary of meals I ate:

Nasi Lemak, Coffee Bean, Pizza, Weird Dinner, Cookies, Instant noodles + Chicken Leg... All in a day.

First day of Genting

Well,

It started off uneventful. Went to Genting with piggy and parents! And 2 pairs of uncles and aunts. Watched House all the way till we started going up the mountains.

That's when the excitement began.

The road was like a race track! Zig zagging all the way. Combine that with pitch black darkness, and cold wind, and you've got yourself an exhilirating ride up to Genting Highlands.

We eventually reached (safely) the top of the mountain, and faced a HUUUUUUUUGE JAM. The 9 story carpark at the hotel was full, and by full, I meant illegal parking full. Cars were squeezed at any single corner so long as it didn't block anyone.

We eventually found a carpark, and tada! GTFO OF THE CAR AND FREEZE MY ARSE TO DEATH.

We then chucked our bags in a room (one single room to fit 6 people), and went out immediately to the shopping mall!

Trust me when I say this, it's a smoking haven. Everywhere you go, you can smoke. Because there's no air con!

I did eat like a pig though, two plates of chicken rice, wanton soup and fried wantons. Forgot what else I ate, because it was such a blur due to my sleepiness!

I was grumpy, so I didn't really bother much about the countdown (we celebrated our countdown while walking around in the mall), and catched a tiny bit of fireworks. It was cold though, which was the only thing I enjoyed. The temperature at that point of time was 21.5 degrees.

Me and piggytay went back to the room to sleep first, where I couldn't sleep properly due to her snoring directly in my ear XD..

And that ends my uneventful first day at Genting.
